Jeffrey Funderburk

Dr. Jeffrey Funderburk is Professor of Music with a specialty in tuba and euphonium at The University of Northern Iowa, a position he has held since 1987. Funderburk received his Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from the University of Illinois and his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Benjamin Ginsberg

Dr. Benjamin Ginsberg is the David Bernstein Professor of Political Science, is Chair of Governmental Studies and the Center for Advanced Governmental Studies of Advanced Academic Programs at Johns Hopkins University. He is the author of numerous books on American government and politics including The Fall of the Faculty: The Rise of the All-Administrative University and Why It Matters.

Yolanda Hood

Dr. Hood is the Youth Librarian at the University of Northern Iowa’s Rod Library and Associate Professor. Prior to becoming a librarian, Dr. Hood was a public school teacher, a university professor, and worked briefly in museums.

Terri Lasswell

Dr. Lasswell is an assistant professor in the education department at the University of Northern Iowa. She is also coordinator of student teaching. Her research interests include teacher evaluation, formative assessment, and teacher candidates with learning disabilities.

Stephanie R. Logan

Stephanie R. Logan is an Assistant Professor in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Northern Iowa, a former elementary classroom teacher, and a former elementary and middle school counselor. Her research interests include racial microaggressions in classrooms and multicultural education.

Donna J. Maier

Dr. Maier is a professor in the history Department at the University of Northern Iowa. Her research interests include precolonial African history, the Rwanda Genocide, and genocide denial.

Chris Neuhaus

Chris Neuhaus is a Reference Librarian and the Coordinator for Library Instruction at the University of Northern Iowa. He is the bibliographer for Biology, Chemistry, Communicative Sciences & Disorders, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and Mathematics. His research interests include the scope and impact of Google Scholar, Google Books, HathiTrust, and open access resources in academia.

Jim O'Loughlin

Dr. Jim O’Loughlin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages & Literatures where he offers courses in American literature, creative writing, and professional writing.

Brian Pals

Brian Pals is a Master's candidate in creative writing. He lives and collects records in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Scott Peters

Dr. Scott Peters is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Prelaw advisor Advisor to the Daniel Webster Law Society at the University of Northern Iowa. Peters received his M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky, and his research focuses on the effectiveness of various ethical restrictions upon state judicial candidacies.

Daniel J. Power

Dr. Daniel J. Power is a Professor of Management Information Systems at the University of Northern Iowa. Power earned his Ph.D. and M.B.A. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his M.A. and B.A. at the University of Iowa. His research interests include design and development of computerized decision making and planning aids, especially Decision Support Systems (DSS).

Justin J. Roberts

Justin J. Roberts holds a Master’s degree in English from the University of Northern Iowa. He has taught as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Languages & Literatures at UNI, and he hopes to pursue a Ph.D. next year.

Gregory F. Scholtz

Dr. Greg Scholtz is director of the Department of Academic Freedom, Tenure, and Governance at the American Association of University Professors. Before joining the AAUP’s staff in September 2008, he taught English literature and composition for twenty-six years, most recently at Wartburg College, from which he retired as professor emeritus in 2010.

Dwight C. Watson

Dr. Watson is a professor of education at the University of Northern Iowa, as well as the dean of the College of Education. His expertises include elementary education, multicultural children’s literature, and urban education. He has previously been published in School Counselor, Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy Development, and Academic Education Quarterly.
